Cyclone Chido in Madagascar

An intense tropical cyclone named Chido will pass within 100 km of Amber Cap (the northern tip of Madagascar) between midday 13 to 16 December. 

Chido is currently in the Indian Ocean north of Madagascar and is expected to move towards Mozambique. The Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) has warned that Mtwara and surrounding areas may experience heavy rainfall, strong winds, and rough seas. The TMA will be monitoring the cyclone closely and strongly recommended that those in the affected areas, as well as maritime workers, stay informed for further updates.
